Torre di Giano Riserva 2010 "BIANCO DI TORGIANO" DOC - Lungarotti
Produced from Trebbiano and Grechetto of the hill "Il Pino", it is a white wine with great structure, balanced and elegant. Straw yellow in color with good intensity; the bouquet of floral scents and hints of lime blossom, thyme and acacia flowers, delicate notes of coconut, vanilla and white chocolate; sapid and fragrant flavor with a long finish and balanced, refreshing acidity. A special selection of Torre di Giano, he was one of the first Italian white wine to be aged in wood, in the 1970s, many years before the most recent trends. The name recalls the Roman origins of Torgiano, testified by the tower dedicated to Janus, the god dual face. On the label is a bas-relief depicting the harvest, detail from the Fontana Maggiore of Perugia, the most beautiful fountain of the 13th century in Italy. Founded in the 60's by Giorgio Lungarotti, the cantina Lungarotti has given a new dimension to the small town of Torgiano and wines. It is one of the largest producer of Umbria offer wines of very high quality. The cantina is based on close family relationships based on respect of values which includes the tradition, history and earth. The estate is now run by two sisters, Chiara Lungarotti and Teresa Severini. Maria Grazia Lungarotti Lungarotti now runs a foundation dedicated to the development of culture. Lungarotti wines offer a multitude ranging from fruity wine to drink young in some beads with a Torgiano Riserva, the perfect complement to Sagrantino.
