Gevrey-Chambertin "EN JOUISE" 1998 - Harmand-Geoffroy
Ranked in communal appellation, the climate in Bay lies at the foot of the hill that bears the Grands Crus Ruchottes and Mazis-Chambertin. A nearby so flattering. The soil without the excellence of its neighbor, is still very qualitative, with well-drained stony brown limestone soils and a good exposure to the east. The Harmand-Geoffroy field his old vintage pinot noir vines by hand before a traditional vinification and aging in oak barrels never with more than half of new wood, for a period of 12 to 16 months. The result is a Gevrey-Chambertinéquilibré, wide and long with very present cherries and a long finish.
