Riesling Grand Cru "WINECK-SCHLOSSBERG" 2007 - Alfred Meyer
Riesling dry well constructed marked by bold and aromatic white fruit on the palate. Riesling from Alsace is a wine that will age in bottle for decades. The diversity of terroirs of Alsace is made for him as it is a variety that is discrete, for the benefit of stones which he draws the most beautiful secrets. pale yellow color with green and bright reflections, highlights its characteristic freshness. Its bouquet is of great finesse, elegant, with subtle fruit flavors (lemon, lemongrass, grapefruit, peach, pear, stewed fruits ...) and floral (white flowers, lime, white nettle ...) or anise, cumin liquorice and fennel seed. In its evolution, Riesling is unique, depending on the soil where it is planted, it develops mineral aromas (flint, flint, ""oil"" ...). These very particular aromas are found in terroir wines (Grands Crus, Localities ...). On the palate, this dry wine is ""vertical"". It is built around a beautiful vivacity that you appreciate the beginning to the end of the tasting, the mid-palate is marked by the scale.

It is another great vintage. Time will tell whether 2005 or 2007 is the most comprehensive and compelxe but here we find ripe wines, balanced and very pleasant.
