Thieuley the castle, owned Courselle vineyards that run two sisters, Mary and Sylvie Courselle produces almost 200,000 bottles of the Bordeaux dry white wine. 22 hectares are used for its preparation, the clay-gravel soil acidic tendency of La Sauve, commune located twenty kilometers from Bordeaux in the Entre-Deux-Mers. 3 varieties are present: a half Semillon, 15% Sauvignon Gris and 35% Sauvignon Blanc, for mechanical harvest and a traditional vinification in stainless steel tanks where also take place a short breeding, 3 to 5 months only . There is a lovely aromatic intensity in this Bordeaux, with a floral nose and a creamy and fresh mouth.

A homogeneous harvest grapes in perfect health and a relatively reasonable volume (6,000,000 hl): it is indeed an exceptional vintage! Ideal weather conditions from May - permanent sunshine without excess heat, very little rain and cool nights - enabled slow ripening characteristic of years of legendary Bordeaux. The Merlots are as successful as the Cabernet: intense and elegant fruit, balance, depth, richness, concentration and extreme freshness, not to mention an almost unlimited aging potential. Only time will tell us if they prove as great as in 2000, 1989 and 1982 which already readily compared. Sweet wines are as grandiose, offering a nice balance between sugar / alcohol / acidity, and delicious candied nuances, roasted and toasted, which blend fine woody notes. On a more classic style than the exceptional 2003 they are nevertheless comparable to the magnificent 2001 and 1997, or even greater.
