Description
Henri Felettig started to produce wines as the third generation in 1965 with 2 hectares. In 1993 his children Christine and Gilbert joined officially the family-run business. Today they manage the domaine between themselves even if Henri is never far. Gilbert spends most of his time on the production of the wines while Christine is there to share their passion with the clients coming by. They apply integrated farm management production rules without being certified. They work using traditional methods and the grapes are handpicked. The main wines from the domaine are the Chambolle-Musigny even if the Vosne-Romanée & the Haut Côte de Nuits have to be discovered also. The vines have the respectable age of 40 years on average and the domaine produces 50.000 bottles per year in total. The domain produces wines from Gevrey to Nuits-Saint-Georges and in Beaune for a total of 12 hectares. They take a particular care into the wineyard.
Chambolle-Musigny is well-know and produces some of the best wines from the Côte de Nuit. This Chambolle 1er Cru "Les Carrières" is a balanced wine between power and delicatesse. The fruit is mature and strong but it is helped by present oak. It should be kept for a few years before being drunk but you should not this wine produced by one of the top domaine in the village.
